Leider mussten Hirax ihre Teilnahme am Festival absagen. Hier das offizielle Statement von Katon:
"To all the fans, staff, crew and the promoters (Oli & Heiko) at Metal Assault II Festival Germany. We are sorry to announce that we will not be performing at this year's festival due to financial reasons. We will return to Europe later in 2012 to make up for this inconvenience after we release our New CD/Album. Thank you for your die hard support and your understanding!

Als Ersatz konnten kurzfristig die schwedischen Metaller von Ram verpflichtet werden, die Ende Januar ihr neues Album Death über Metal Blade veröffentlichen werden.
