Proto-Kaw haben sich aufgelöst. Kerry Livgren schreibt dazu in den Progarchives am 6. Dezember:
"Proto-Kaw has disbanded. What a great and fun band to have played in. We didn't 'break up' as such, things just sort of lapsed for us. No bookings, label troubles, and lots of other personal circumstances contributed. Our unfinished album will eventually surface as a solo project by myself, featuring members of Proto-Kaw and other guest musicians and vocalists."
