HH: Buongiorno Trick Or Treat, come state? Your second album Tin Soldiers is now in stores, are you satisfied with the result?

Alessandro: Molto bene grazie! We are really satisfied with the result!! We have spent a great amount of time and dedication to this album and now it sounds exactly the way we wanted and perhaps even better.

HH: Did you get some reviews from the media? Do they like the album?

Alessandro: The album has a great response so far, both from the media and from our fans. Here in Italy and in other countries such as in Japan it was welcomed really warmly. We had excellent reviews from Germany as well, although a couple of times we've been criticized because we originally started playing as a Helloween tribute band or perhaps they didn't like the album, who knows. Art and taste in music is something we shouldn't discuss: it's just fair and nice that everyone likes what they like.

HH: Michael Kiske once turned his back to Heavy Metal, so was it difficult to convince him to be a part of this album?

Alessandro: To be honest with you, No! I don't think that Michael is against all metal, his collaboration with Avantasia is also a proof of this. I think he's an artist who judges and selects carefully what he does and he prefers to collaborate on positive and passionate projects. He's been extremely cool and professional with us, aside from being an incomparable and unachievable singer for this genre.

HH: When did you decide to give Michele Luppi some guest-vocals on the album, was it difficult to convince him?

Alessandro: Michele is a good friend of mine and we're also some kind of neighbours, we live in the same area near Bologna, in Italy. He was very happy to sing on this album and he did a great job too!!

HH: Why did you call your album Tin Soldiers, your debut Evil Needs No Candy had a funny name, is there a funny meaning behind the title of your current album, too?

Alessandro: Tin Soldiers keeps something playful from our previous album, but it also presents a slightly menacing vibe in the artwork. It's the perfect cover to represent, also visually, the spirit of Trick or Treat today.

HH: How do the people react at your shows, do you often hear comparisons to Helloween?

Alessandro: We generally have a lot of fun at our gigs, our show is based on music and entertainment! There is still someone comparing us to Helloween, sometimes for our attitude, sometimes for our many past shows as a tribute band.

HH: By the way: how was the festival in Milan you played one week ago?

Alessandro: It's been great!! We have played with Kee Marcello and with Pino Scotto, who's some sort of a "rock icon" here in Italy!

HH: Which is the best Helloween-album in your opinion?

Alessandro: Well, the Keeper albums have certainly put the basis of this sound... but I think that during the years, the CD which I have consumed the most was Pink Bubbles Go Ape, anyway I think that Helloween as a band have always managed to keep their standards very high during the years.

HH: Do you have some news about the future? Will there be a big tour, a DVD, a new album or guest vocals by Kai Hansen?

Alessandro: Hahaha! Would be cool! We have very clear ideas for the future, but at the moment we are very focused on promoting Tin Soldiers which we believe is a wonderful album.

HH: So thank you very much for your time! Mille grazie!

Alessandro: Vielen Dank to you! We wish to come back to Germany very soon! In case we will, don't miss us and stay happy!!
