Anthropocene beziehungsweise Anthropozän ist der Name der gegenwärtigen geologischen Epoche term (ausgehend vom Zeitalter der Industriellen Revolution) und markiert die Ära, in welcher der Mensch erhebliche Eingriffe in die Umwelt vorgenommen hat.
2012 schockierten Cattle Decapitation die Metal-Welt mit ihrem bisher stärksten Album Monolith Of Inhumanity. Nun drei Jahre später freuen sich Cattle Decapitation und Metal Blade Records das neue Magnum Opus der Band vorzustellen: The Anthropocene Extinction erscheint am 07.08.2015.
