HH: In 2006 you've announced to go for a longer break. Now, only two years later, you've returned unexpectedly, having your fabulous new release Hundre Ar Gammal with you, to which I can only congratulate you. Why and when did you decide to end your break?

Sarke: I had made some songs and I talk to Rinn and he had several songs done, so we decided to do some rehearsals to check it out. We thought we had some cool stuff, so we decided to go for a new album. We needed the break to refuel and two years was enough.

HH: What did each of you do when Khold was on hold?

Sarke: Me and Gard recorded a cd with Tulus. Rinn did some video stuff and Grimd was drunk.

HH: You've shot a video for the title track, which is rather unusual for a Black Metal band (if you agree with me putting your music into that "drawer"). What was your intention when making the video? Where's the connection between lyrics and video?

Sarke: The lyric is about old stuff and there is a lot of old stuff in the video. There's no big meaning behind it. Khold always deal with stuff that has been and not the future.

HH: Again, you've kept all lyrics in Norwegian. Would you please give us a summing up what the songs on Hundre Ar Gammal are about? Did you have any kind of concept when writing this record?

Sarke: No concept. The lyrics are small dark stories about strange, weird, sick things that go on in people's life and surroundings. Often back in time in Norway.

HH: Where do you see the difference to Krek, your former release?

Sarke: I think the new album is a bit like all our former albums. It has a bit of everything Khold has released before. While Krek was more a new Khold album, a new step forward. Hundre Ar Gammal has everything from Masterpiss to Krek.

HH: You're rumoured to go on tour in order to promote Hundre Ar Gammal. Are you planning to visit us in Germany as well, as you did on your tour with Satyricon in 2003?

Sarke: I hope so. We will try to make it happen. We just need to find a tour we fit into. It has been too long since we have played outside Norway now.

HH: What are your further plans for Khold?

Sarke: To play live and go on tour.

HH: Would you like to add any last words for our readers?

Sarke: Yes, guess we all look forward to the new Slayer album.

HH: Thanks a lot for the interview. I'm looking forward to seeing you in Germany (especially Munich) soon.
