HH: Hello, your new album AssassiNation became a real killer. How does this new release differ from Works Of Carnage or Bloodshed?

Max: Thanks! I think AssassiNation is more vary, and has more groove and the songs are even more brutal, and the production is definitely way better compared to our previous albuns.

HH: How did you come up with the album title?

Max: Inspired by all the wars, genocides, bloodshed and violence we have seen along the years.

HH: How much time did you spend in the studio?

Max: About a month. We like to do things really fast, if we start spending too much time to record, we kind of lose the vibe. We always prepared ourselves months before going to the studio, practicing everyday to get it done really fast.

HH: This time you honor Motörhead by covering their song "Sweet Revenge" - why? You seemed to love the song, it was played with a lot of passion.

Max: Fuck yeah, that song rules, its dark and has that bluesy vibe going on, the tempo is slow and haevy, it was really fun to record this song from this legendary band.

HH: I think AssassiNation is definitely a step forward for Krisiun in comparison to your last record, it's even more straightforward and really brutal. Do you already have an idea how the fans will accept it? And did you already have the opportunity to play some songs of the new album live?

Max: We have been playing at least three songs from AssassiNation live, and the response its fuckin amazing, people go crazy, I think most of our fans really dug the new album.

HH: Your new Tour will lead you from Holland over Germany to France, Spain and other nations in Eastern Europe. I looked up the tour list, almost every day another city. How do you get the motivation to give every day 100%?

Max: The road is rough, and sometimes you get really tired, but when comes the time to get on the stage and play, everything changes, we feel the energy coming back, you wanna get there and kick some ass, it's like magic.

HH: The number of gigs you played in 2005 was enormous.. You also played at the Summer Breeze festival, absolved a tour with Morbid Angel, travelled through North America and South America. What do you prefer more, festivals or the more private atmosphere in clubs or concert halls?

Max: I really love to do both, on the big festivals we can play for a huge amount of people, and in the regular shows in clubs the atmosphere is fuckin killer, you know that the people there are real metal maniacs and they came to see the show, those shows in clubs usually are very intense.

HH: You have a lot of fans in South America, of course. How do the fans from Brazil differ from fans from Europe or elsewhere?

Max: Both are crazy I guess, metal people are really similar doesnt matter where they are from, they are people with atitude, like to party hard and love brutal music.

HH: On your tours, you also recorded the material for your live dvd, which will be released soon. What was the intention behind it? A donation to the fans? Or the realization of a dream for you?

Max: The dvd is out already, and we did for the fans, to people watch the live brutal assault, its really fun, also to see the band recording the album and smoking some weed, I think the fans really dig that.

HH: Thanks for your time, and have a lot of fun at the tour. Some last words?

Max: Thanks you bro for the interview, soon we will be in Europe, so I see you all metal maniacs at some club in a cold dark evil night.

Robert
