HH: Hi Anders! How are you doing after having done your new record Nothing Is Sacred?

Anders: Great, we are happy with the record. I think we did a good job considering the lineup changes and so on.

HH: What's up in the Konkhra-camp at the moment?

Anders: We have some shows and are looking to set up a tour in Europe.

HH: Nothing Is Sacred is the sixth full length record of Konkhra if I'm not wrong. On the same time it's a "birthday" record because Konkhra now exists for 20 years. How does it feel to be part of the scene for such a long time?

Anders: Hmm, maybe I should feel old? I don't think so and actually doing this kind of work must be the fountain of youth because I feel pretty much the same as when I was 20.

HH: Please tell us about a very special moment in the history of Konkhra!

Anders: Well, the greatest memories are from touring. The crowds have been treating us very nice through the years and there are festivals like Roskilde, that will always be remembered with a smile. Israel and South Africa where fantastic too. I'm already leaving a lot out which should definitely be on the list.

HH: I think Konkhra is doing some more experiments on the new record compared with Reality Check. What do you think? What other differences do you see between these two records?

Anders: I think Reality Check is staying in the "school" all the time, whereas Nothing Is Sacred is maybe a little more personal and honest.

HH: The intro "Prelude To Perversion" consists of soundsamples of speeches of former US president George W. Bush in a twisted way. Is he still a topic to write lyrics about or is his voice always a good thing to start bashing on different topics?

Anders: It's more the office that needs bashing than the person. Bush was an idiot of course, but there are problems which are much more pressing than spending too much time on a parrot like Bush or anybody else who has CFR and Bilderberger strings attached.

HH: In the promo-sheet it says, Nothing Is Sacred was written during the cartoon crisis! Can you please describe what impact this crisis had on you, your country and the record especially the lyrics?

Anders: It was ridiculous. I mean, discussion with people who patent the truth is impossible. We can only hope that people of the middle east will have a religious revolution of their own, that will allow them to see that the religion is just a measure for control. Religion is divisive in its nature, all the talk about infidels and inherited truths is fucking bullshit and it needs to go.

HH: What is your inspiration for Konkhra's music?

Anders: For me, Celtic Frost, Slayer and most of the classic Death Metal that came out when I was young and vulnerable. I don't get the beat detectived bullshit that is going on these days. Those bands sound like shit live, and that's because they are shit. People need to wake the fuck up.

HH: Which is your favourite track on Nothing Is Sacred?

Anders: Hmm, I think "Breathe The Fear".

HH: I'm very impressed by the sound of Nothing Is Sacred. It's heavy, sort of organic and not like many productions nowadays with focus on this computer sounding drums. What can you tell about the forging of this sound?

Anders: We were playing the stuff. To a click but we let the human flaws shine through and let it sound like somebody actually playing. All that modern shit is just that: shit.

HH: How would you rate Nothing Is Sacred in comparison to your previous discography?

Anders: Pretty high. It's the most recent one and the guys that play on it are in the band, so it's pretty much the only one right now in a way, you know.

HH: Like many other bands Konkhra has a page at MySpace at www.myspace.com/konkhra. How important is this page to the band?

Anders: Not very. It's a very overrated tool and the software out there makes it very misguiding. Like Job For A Cowboy is bigger than U2 or something? Give me a fucking break.

HH: Is MySpace more important for bands than a regular website nowadays?

Anders: I centainly don't hope so. ReverbNation.com is already much better.

HH: What do you think of the current metal scene, about the trendy Metalcore or the revival of Thrash Metal? Will this revival help Konkhra on its further way?

Anders: We are an underground death metal band. We have been for while and I don't really bother too much with the ups and downs of it. Im pretty sure we are not hitlist material anyway and I couldn't care less. The downs are better for progress on the personal level, so I'm not sure what to hope for.

HH: Imagine Nothing Is Sacred is an empty room. How do you decorate it that it represents the record Nothing Is Sacred?

Anders: A bookshelve with all the truth material in the world. 4 x 7.62 GAU mounted with motion sensors and heatdetection. Phone lines to decision makers with a constant mind swiping hypnotism reducing the controllers to clay in my hand. Now, World Domination.

HH: How important is it to be on the road with Konkhra?

Anders: It's good fun. It's actually the best fun to be had in whole wide world.

HH: Thanks for your time and good speed. Any last words?

Anders: Thank you very much, and thank you for your time. I hope we can throw a party near you soon!!!
