HH: Hi Adde, first question about the status of the band, is Jigsore Terror a full band or is it more a project?

Adde: Well, everyone of us are playing in other bands. This band started as a side project. But we still play together and we will continue as long as it feels good and we have fun. It's a serious side project.

HH: Why did you form up Jigsore Terror?

Adde: Me and a good friend wanted to play in a band together. And since we both love old death metal and grindcore we started Jigsore Terror as a tribute to the old bands.

HH: Why did you choose the name Jigsore Terror?

Adde: I have no idea where I got the name from. I just thought it sounded cool.

HH: Before the new album World End Carnage you recorded a six track demo in Soundlab Studios where you also recorded the album. How is the demo called and is it still available?

Adde: We didn't actually release any demo. We just recorded some songs that we could send to some labels. Obviously we sent the songs to Listenable. They liked it a lot and offered us a deal. Listenable is a good and well-known label so it feels good to be a part of them.

HH: The vocals on the demo were done by Tobbe Eng who left the band before the World End Carnage recording sessions. Why did he leave?

Adde: Yeah, Tobbe Eng left the band because he didn't have enough time. He has another band, THUNDERDOG, that takes a lot of his time. There are absolutely no bad feelings between us. He is a very good friend of ours.

HH: After Tobbe left the band you took over the vocals and did also the recordings of the vocals. In my opinion you did a fine job. How would you rate your performance?

Adde: Thanks! I wouldn't rate my own vocals, but I've got some good comments so I guess the vocals are ok. But we're trying to find a new one though.

HH: What topics to the lyrics deal with?

Adde: The lyrics are very simple. They're just about violent death, murder, hell, hate, corpses, hate, horror and fun stuff like that.

HH: The album is quite brutal but I think there could be a little more variation on the songwriting. Nearly all the song follow the same structure, and there are no surprises towards the end of the record so it gets a little bit boring in my opinion. What do you think?

Adde: I think it's enough variation on the album. We're not trying to be unique or something. This is just old-school deathgrind. So we try to put some blasts, moshparts, and d-beats in every song. Maybe next record will be even less variated.

HH: How were the general reactions on your album?

Adde: Pretty good actually. We've got some good reviews here and there. Especially in Germany. And we get a lot of interviews too. From people who like our music, so it feels good.

HH: Do you have plans for touring?

Adde: We need to find a vocalist before we can play live. We did a few shows with our former vocalist and it was great. I really miss playing live with Jigsore Terror. So I hope that we find someone soon. Hopefully we will do some touring in the future, but nothing is planned at the moment.

HH: As influences on Jigsore Terror the promotional sheet names bands like Repulsion, Terrorizer and Death. Some time has passed now, but what did you think when you heard of the death of Chuck Schuldiner?

Adde: Chuck was definitely one of the most important persons of extreme music. Even though I didn't know him in person, it feels very sad that he is gone. He will always be remembered.

HH: Imagine World End Carnage is something to eat. What would that be and why?

Adde: Ha ha ha! That's a funny question. I asked my girlfriend and she said: Sushi! Because it's raw, strong and you want a lot of it all the time, ha ha! I agree!

HH: Thanks for your time and good luck for the future. Any last words?

Adde: Thanks for doing this interview and thanks for your support. Cheers everyone. Check us out if you want some grinding death!! www.jigsoreterror.com
